Baby Ali's Photo Blog
Ali and Aiman's Photo Blog: May 2005

Welcome to Baby Ali's photo blog. Thanks for stopping by.

This blog was an idea that came about as I was driving home one day. I had just created a powerpoint slide show of baby Ali to distribute to a group of my friends and I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be great if I could share the many faces of my child to the world? Hence the creation of this blog. In sticking to this theme, I shall be posting a picture of baby Ali daily, accompanied by a caption. I hope to put a smile on your face. There’s simply much too little of it these days.

I would like to thank my wife, Erma Suryati, for giving me this beautiful baby and putting up with me so far. She’s truly a superwoman. I love you, sayang.

Visited by friends so far.

More than one month has passed since my last posting. It has indeed been an eventful month. The month in which we've had to adjust to Baby Ali's Granma and Uncle leaving for home, sending Baby Ali to the nursery and Baby Ali down with diarrhea and vomitting last week. And yesterday, the sudden passing of Baby Ali's uncle.

Affectionately known to me as Abang S("S" is short for Iskandar, Abang = Brother), it was unfortunate that we did not managed to return in time for his funeral. Our return was further complicated by a mess up at the airport yesterday. But that's another matter altogether. One which I shall not elaborate more here; suffice to say thanks to Malaysia Airlines for their kind help and assistance during our time of grief and may God repay them equally in return when they are in a similar situation I was.

Baby Ali never got the chance to meet his Uncle S. My wife and I had already purchased tickets to return in July but I guess it was just never meant to be. I sent a vcd of Baby Ali on 13/5 and as he viewed it with my mother in-law, I was told Abang S smiled and laughed looking at Baby Ali's antics. I suppose I can seek solace to the fact that at least he got to see Baby Ali before passing on. Abang S loved children and I am sure would have been a great uncle to Baby Ali. May he rest in peace. Al-fatihah.
